The 91st Academy Awards will be held on 24 February, 2019 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The annual event will be broadcasted live on ABC in the U.S. and on Sky in the U.K.

But the quest for hiring the event’s host continues as Kevin Hart, turned down his opportunity for hosting the 2019 Academy Awards due to the controversy created during the past couple of weeks because of the homophobic tweets he made a long time ago.

It was reported that the 2018 Academy Awards was one of the least watched in history with an average of 32.9 million viewers. This may put a lot of pressure to whoever takes the hosting duties for 2019 Academy Awards.

The late night show host, Jimmy Kimmel hosted the Academy Awards in 2017 and 2018 preceded by Chris Rock in 2016, Neil Patrick Harris in 2015 and Ellen DeGeneres in 2013.
